Our area is rural but within a stone's throw of the main road to the city or west to Killarney. Ballincollig is 5 minutes drive. Mostly commuters and farming communities live in the locality. The area has the best of both worlds but a car is a must.
Day trips to Killarney and the Cliffs of Moher are an option.

From our home you can drive to Cork City or airport in 20 minutes. We are close to the castle in Blarney and about 40 minutes from Kinsale and the coast. Killarney is about an hour away in the car.
Cork City is perfect for a day trip.
Blarney Castle is another good option.
Kinsale is renowned for its gastronomy and its beautiful coast line.
Blackrock Castle has an observatory which is a good option for children.
Cork City Gaol(former prison) is a popular tourist spot.
University College Cork.
Cork Public Museum.
