Cilia and Wilheum have a beautiful home and they made us very welcome. Staying in Gouda we had a good introduction to the Netherlands. It was an interesting town and a good base from which to explore many other cities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

This was an ideal home exchange for us with Willem and Cilia. We had excellent communication before our trip and they left comprehensive information packs which were exceedingly helpful.Their traditional house was overlooking a canal and had everything you would need in an exchange.The house was both comfortable and well equipped. The courtyard garden was lovely and the proverbial sun trap.Gouda is the perfect centre for exploring far and wide and the public transport was easy to access and navigate. We visited a number of cities by train and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Netherlands. We would positively recommend this as an exchange .

Cilia and Wilhelm's house was ideally located to explore Gouda. We loved this delightful town with its canals, pretty streets and bustling market square.

Well positioned on the edge of the very interesting market town of Gouda with excellent public transport within walking distance in addition to plenty of cafes and restaurants.

Our hosts gave us so much information on the area locally and further away, so that we were able to enjoy our two weeks there despite some poor weather. We highly recommend Cilia and Wilhem for their attention to details and lovely house within easy walking distance to centre of the town.

Thank you Willem and Cilia for providing us with a very comfortable house as our base for an enjoyable exploration of the area. We loved Gouda and enjoyed getting to the market which was wonderful. Needless to say we have brought home some Gouda cheese and a particularly nice Gouda goats cheese as well as Stroopwafels which our friends are very quickly getting through. Our favourite places were the small towns and the countryside on the minor roads. We really enjoyed a day in Delft and in Leiden and in Amersfoort but were a bit overwhelmed by Amsterdam - the rain didn't help that day.The concert in Sint Janskirk was a real treat! And the restaurants you recommended were very good. While we did not avail of your bikes, your location is ideal for people who have the confidence to cycle places. We had a wonderful time at the Den Boers' house. We spent the time cycling along the polders to interesting little towns and through amazing countryside. We visited Delft and Leiden by train and only used our car to drive from U.K. to Netherlands. Gouda is an interesting town with old buildings to look round and very colourful markets to visit. The house was within walking distance from the centre on one of the canals. We also took a canal boat trip round the town and had meals out at different times - especially coffee and apple cake! This is a wonderful home belonging to Cilia and Willem, they are such lovely welcoming people. The house is ideally located for the town centre and Gouda is such a central location for exploring further afield on bike or the excellent train service. We loved the cycling, sitting in the garden and watching the world go by in the town square where there is a market on almost every day. We met lovely neighbours and felt just at home.

Such lovely people, such a wonderful home! We had such a good time exploring Holland. We travelled by train most of the time so easy and so much cheaper than the UK. So very many places to visit we loved the bulb fields the wind mills, the canals, the museums and the pottery's. The area is lovely easy to walk around and travel from. Would recommend this exchange to everyone.
