Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
Our house is in a quiet area near to the citycentre of Emden and to the railwaystation (10 minutes walking distance). Emden is known in Germany as the capital of wind energy. It is a good point to start for bike- and boattours. The eastfriesian islands with their sandy beaches are not far away. The ferry for the island of Borkum starts from Emden. The islands Juist and Norderney can be reached after a short train and ferry tour within 90 minutes.
Emden is a town and seaport in Lower Saxony at the mouth of the river Ems. Emden is the main town of the region of East Frisia with approximately a total population of 51.000 and has a Volkswagen plant. Emden is just a stonethrow away from the Netherlands on the western side of the river Ems.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving
Our neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Nearby, only 50 metres, is the Wall, the ancient boundary of the medieval town of Emden. Today it is the green lung with its trees and canals. The citycentre with restaurants, pubs etc. is only a 7-minutes-walk away, the next shoppingcentre is at the same distance. As we say: In Emden everything is right in the middle.
