Vanessa and Graham are both Cornish and grew up in the same street. We have been married since 1981 and have lived in Auckland, New Zealand as well as Brighton and Dorset returning to Cornwall each time.
We moved to Portreath in 2002 to look after Vanessa`s mum Molly. When she died eight years later we decided to use her property (which we named "Molly's Nest") to offer holidays and subsequently home swaps.
We have since had two successful trips to New Zealand and also swapped in Australia and Hungary. We look forward to new adventures and meeting new people through future home swaps.

Adjoining our own property, this comfortable bungalow sits above the beach and harbour of the village of Portreath on the rugged north Cornish coast. There is a small supermarket, three pubs and several cafes in the village and ten minutes away you will find four large supermarkets.
The bungalow accomodates up to four people in two bedrooms, has a bathroom with overbath shower, a comfortable lounge, a kitchen and a bright conservatory with a dining area overlooking the established and secluded Cornish garden. There is easy parking either on the drive or on-road.
The property is ten minutes walk from the beach, harbour and village amenities with easy access to the South-West Coast Path. Ten minutes by footpath will bring you to the woods and golf club at Tehidy Country Park or the coast-to-coast cycle trail which runs from Portreath to Devoran.
A fifteen minute drive takes you to the bus and train stations at Redruth or Camborne, or the spectacular surfing beach along the coast at Gwithian. Redruth promotes itself as the "World Capital of Cornish Mining", and in 2011 the area applied for World Heritage status to U.N.E.S.C.O.
Half an hour away are St. Ives (try taking the 20-minute scenic train trip around the bay from Lelant), Falmouth (home of the National Maritime Museum and a popular destination for cruise ships), Newquay (a surfing mecca), Penzance(gateway to St. Michael's Mount and the Isles of Scilly) or Truro (for city centre shopping and its theatre).
One hour away is the world-famous Eden Project, or the open-air Minack Theatre built into the cliffs at Porthcurno.
There are a number of impressive National Trust properties and gardens in the area, and during your stay we would also recommend: exploring a tin mine, wine and cider tastings, walking at low tide over the causeway to St. Michael's Mount, boat trips on the Fal River, fishing trips, and visiting the Tate Gallery at St. Ives.
