Dear Jerri, Thank you for exchanging with us. The cottage was warm and welcoming after long winter walks in the local area which is very beautiful. With a self imposed ban on all Apple devices, we even managed to complete jigsaws, play cards and read! We were left feeling relaxed and ready to return to New Year partying. Cathy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Steading" - a beautiful farmhouse adjacent to a working dairy farm. Comfortably furnished, easy to cook in and a bright, upstairs bedroom with skylights. Your home was true to the Homelink description. We were grateful for the quick response to the concern we had our first evening - a repair came in less than 12 hours by a friendly, capable worker. The area around Keswick and Penrith is gorgeous - we had no idea the beauty of the dales and the Lakes district. We would have enjoyed a second week to explore the hills, lakes, trails and walks available. Yes, we did get rain but also some dry days - a good variety of weather. If you have not been in northern England, you really must visit sometime. There would be no better place to situate yourself than in Great Strickland at The Steading!
