My husband Steve and I are adventuresome, active, travel loving retired couple. We are always excited to explore different countries and cultures and especially love to build relationships with the people we meet on our ventures. Steve is retired professor, ....and now takes classes at Smith College. I am a semi-retired psychotherapist in private practice and an artist with a studio that I go to when not seeing clients. We love traveling, art, dance, theatre, music, architecture, gardening, cooking, reading, movies, biking, hiking, walking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, gardening, and yoga.

Ons huis
Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
We have a large, well appointed, gracious 3 floor home with a beautiful private backyard with a two tiered deck and a flower filled garden. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. There are high ceilings, beautiful moldings and is furnished to create an overall feeling of warmth and comfort. On the first floor: there is a double living room, large dining room, a cozy first floor den, modern kitchen with soapstone countertops, an island that seats 4 and a breakfast room that leads onto a large 2 level deck. On the second floor there is a full bathroom, laundry room, 2 bedrooms ( one with a queen sized bed and one with a full sized), an office, and a large upstairs den with a 55 inch TV ( it can sleep 2 on foam mattresses or an inflatable which we can provide). On the 3rd floor is a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, a walk through closet and a full bath w double sinks and a large tiled shower.

We live in a culturally rich, vibrant and geographically beautiful New England town set in a beautiful lush Valley surrounded by rolling hills ....a "Camelot" of a town in every season....Our home is in walking distance to downtown Northampton and Smith College, public transportation and a bike path. It is situated in a "five College" area which is alive with venues for music, theatre, dance, Museums and cultural offerings and is surrounded by lakes and a river for kayaking, rowing, canoeing, swimming, paddle boarding etc and by mountains for skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding. Downtown Northampton is known for it's restaurants, galleries, boutiques and performance venues. We are 1 hour from the "Berkshires", "which during the summer, is home for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, which is an internationally acclaimed dance festival, The Williamstown Theatre festival, The Shakespeare festival, and the Barrington Stage. We are 5 minutes from a major N/S interstate and 15 min from a major E/W interstate . We are 1 1/2- 2 hours from Boston, Ma. which is an easy day trip and 3 hours from NYC. We are 40 min from Bradley International airport.
