Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil

**HAVE EXCHANGES FOR JUNE & JULY 2024**

Situated on a lagoon, my house is a 15-minute walk on a quiet paved road to a 5-km quiet sandy beach. This one-bedroom house, built in 2020, features a terrace overlooking a lagoon and coconut trees; it has a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom (shower only). I work from home so Wi-Fi is excellent.

Note that the green season is June through September. With climate change, weather patterns are shifting. It was relatively dry in 2022 and quite wet in 2023.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving

We are situated at the end of a small lane in a private gated property consisting of three houses, but the owners of the other two houses come only a few weeks a year. Our regular neighbors include birds, frogs, toads, monitor lizards that live in or around the lagoon. There is a rubber tree farm south of our property. There are excellent and inexpensive local restaurants in the area, including a few that provide delivery services. Our local fresh market, about 1.2 km away, offers fresh fruits, vegetables, snacks, as well as prepared foods (the whole roasted fish is a favorite!).

This home exchange is for those who enjoy a peaceful setting near the sea, just a short walk to a 5 km long beach with soft sand.

For nature lovers, Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is a half hour away. Khao Sok National Park (one-hour drive) is an easy day trip, but we recommend spending at least a couple of days there exploring by kayak or long-tail boat. If you snorkel or scuba dive, the Similan Islands and Surin Islands (open October to April) are about two hours away by car and speedboat. The limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay are about 1.5 hours away by car (can visit any season).

The town of Khao Lak (20 minutes by car) offers many restaurants and bars, as well as a fresh market and a market for western products with a good selection of cheeses, etc. You can also drive 1.5-2 hours to Phuket for a livelier nightlife and more shopping opportunities. The seaside town of Krabi is less than 2.5 hours away, and it's a good gateway to various islands in Phang Nga Bay. Railay Beach, known for rock climbing, is a 2.5-hour drive.
