Retired social worker and NHS administrator. Enjoy walking, bird and wildlife watching and coarse fishing. We have 2 Maine Coon cats who are used to coming on holiday with us, so you can be sure they would be well behaved in your home, or who would be happy to receive fuss and attention from other cat lovers if you would prefer to look after them in our home. We would treat your home with respect, as we would expect for ours but we are not especially house proud and don't have lots of expensive furniture or ornaments so you could relax and be comfortable in our home. However, we can be trusted to look after your own home as you would like it to be. We live quite simply so our house is not stuffed full of the latest gadgets but we hope we have everything anyone could need. We are in the shadow of the Monadliath with 3 Munroes walkable from the door and only 14 miles from Aviemore and the Cairngorm mountains. Newtonmore has a good Coop food shop plus hotels with bars, restaurants and a takeaway and good communications on the A9 and by train and bus. Our friendly neighbours would be happy to answer any questions about the locality during your stay.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...
We would leave our house clean and tidy and expect to find it in the same condition on our return. However, we would want exchange guests to feel they could relax and feel at home during their stay in our house and we don't have expensive ornaments or furnishings to worry about, rather just a comfy, practical house. We have 2 long haired cats which we would prefer to bring with us and they are well trained, well behaved and accustomed to coming on holiday with us. If you would prefer them to stay in our house, you would need to like and enjoy taking care of cats as they do not go outdoors, are very friendly and you would need to attend to a litter tray. If we can bring our cats to your home and you have pets to bring to ours, the house has practical laminate floors for easy maintenance in case of muddy paws and we are happy to welcome any kind of pet.
