From our home, Main Street village has many small, owner operated stores and a wide choice of eateries including many ethnic restaurants, craft breweries, coffee shops and bakeries. Also in the neighbourhood is Hillcrest Community centre with library, gym, ice rinks and pool. Queen Elizabeth Park offers walking trails, tennis, pickle ball and pitch and putt.
Further afield but still in Vancouver (and within biking distant) are: VanDusen Botanical Garden, Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium, Science World, Granville Island, Vancouver Art Gallery, theatres, Spanish Banks, Jericho Beach Kayak, Pacific Spirit Park, University of British Columbia, as well as beaches and water front walks.
