Ons huis

Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil

Our townhouse is part of a 4-plex on a quiet, tree lined street. It is 2 levels, with a modern kitchen, livingroom, dining room and bathroom on the main floor, and 2 bedrooms and another bathroom on the second floor. Our unit is in the back, away from the street. We have a small fenced yard and garden with space to seat 4 people to enjoy meals and just relax. The North Shore mountains are a short drive away, and Whistler Mountain, site of 2010 Olympics is less than 2 hours by car. Excellent hiking, walking, water sports, beaches, dining, shopping and theaters all within walking distance.
Our children are grown so we are flexible with timing and location. Feel free to propose something, we are open to ideas.

Very quiet, well established, in close proximity to a natural park/ocean and yet close to shopping, restaurants and high speed public transit to the most vibrant metropol on the west coast! Steps away from shops and restaurants on West Broadway, West 4th Avenue, South Granville, Granville Island, and Olympic Village. Walking distance to Kits Beach and many parks and walking/cycling trails.

Kits Beach is a short walk or bike ride away from our house, with swimming, boating, kayaking, birdwatching, and walking/cycling. Granville Island is also a short walk/cycle away with a farmers market, shops, restaurants, art galleries, playhouse and public market. We are at the intersection of two main bike routes with bike sharing available on every corner. West Broadway and West 4th, two popular dining and shopping streets are an easy walk. Lots of food shops and takeout available as well. Downtown, Stanley Park, and the University of British Columbia are easily reachable by bus or bicycle.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...

Are children are grown so we are flexible with timing, however we do not like to travel out of country during the summer months. We sometimes do non-simultaneous when we plan to be on another trip, we are open to suggestions. In 2021 we are focusing on traveling within our province. We have a resident, pet care for the cat is required. We can easily arrange to have the cat cared for if you plan to be away from the house for several days. We are happy to take care of your pets and plants. Our house is compact, suitable for 1 or 2 couples or a family with one child. We have had exchanges to Adelaide, Australia, Strasbourg, Ascain and Bourgogne , France, Cobh Ireland, Portland, Oregon, Mexico and Tucson.
