Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
Our home is in Davis Bay, a small oceanside village with restaurants and coffee-shops on the Sunshine Coast, about 15 minutes north of Gibsons/Langdale, where the ferries land, coming from Horseshoe Bay on the Mainland. Horseshoe Bay itself is a ten-minute drive to West Vancouver, where there is all the shopping you can possibly need in the Park Royal Mall, not to mention charming restaurants and shops along Marine Drive. However, for most purposes, Sechelt, Gibsons, and Roberts Creek have all necessary shopping, including major grocery stores, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Restaurants, Pharmacies, and a wide variety of other stores. You must take the ferry to get here.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving
We have just moved to Davis Bay on the Sunshine Coast, and are located two blocks from a beautiful ocean promenade that overlooks Georgia Strait. There are coffee-shops and restaurants at the beachside, and ten minutes away in Sechelt is a variety of shops, restaurants, medical facilities (hospital), and other amenities. Twenty minutes to the south is Gibsons, the home of the Canadian T.V. series "Beachcombers" (now in reruns), but another lovely little spot to spend an hour or two browsing and/or eating.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...
We take good care of houses we exchange with, and would like to think that others would do the same with our house. Although it may not be possible to cut the grass during a short exchange, we appreciate coming home to a reasonably clean house.
We have two cocker spaniels that will be absent during the exchange.
We sometimes like having a couple join us on exchange, or either or both of our daughters with their spouses, if they can get free of their busy lives (and maybe even their children, if beds are available, and the exchangers don't mind). Our exchange partners are welcome to do the same, although (as I think is evident from our photos), the guest accommodation in our house is perhaps best described as "cottagey, but comfortable."
