Deb and I are both retired school teachers. We have two daughters, one living in London and one living in Sydney. We enjoy travel both in Australia and overseas. We have a caravan so we can easily have non simultaneous exchanges as we can do a caravan holiday whilst you enjoy our house. We like watching movies, reading and catching up with friends for dinner or coffee. We are currently building a house which has become very time consuming but it should be completed in September which will free us for travel in 2016. We are keen to go to the United Kingdom to see our daughter.

Ons huis
Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
Our home is currently being built and will be completed in September 2015. We will be ready for a home swap from March 2016. The home is very modern in design. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a media room, a large living room and a dining room. It is situated on five acres (2 hectares) of land. There is also a machinery shed. We are a 20minute drive from the popular seaside city of Coffs Harbour. Nana Glen however is a very quiet small village with two cafés/restaurants, a General Store, and a winery. Our block of land contains a variety of animals which are easily viewed. Some of these are kangaroos, possums, bird life, and goannas. The reason we have not shown photos is that the house is currently being built. As soon as it is completed which should be inSeptember I will include photos.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving
We live in a small community of small acreage blocks with a mixture of fairly new homes and traditional Australian rural homes. Lots of people exercise in the area through walking, jogging and riding push bikes. Access to surrounding bush and National Parks is easy. The area is popular for motor cycles and vintage cars who like to visit the coffee shops. Nana Glen has very active equestrian groups and clubs and has an Olympic standard equestrian ground. Nana Glen is about a twenty minute drive to the beach and tourist town of Coffs Harbour.

Onze tips voor leuke activiteiten en uitjes bij ons in de buurt
A personal trainer and a massage therapist live nearby. You might be lucky if doing some movie star spotting because Russell Crowe lives on a farm just across the road. Deb and I enjoy going for breakfast at the Idle Inn Cafe. The staff will make you feel very welcome. We can recommend the "breaky roll with hollandaise sauce". Coffs Harbour has a large amount of excellent restaurants featuring modern Australian food with fresh seafood being part of many menus. Whilst in Coffs you must go whale watching with one of the charter boats. This is an attraction you will never forget. If you enjoy the beach perhaps you might be interested in learning to surf or body surfing at a lifesaver patrolled beach. If you like more sedate beach activities fishing or a beach walk may appeal to you especially with some take away fish and chips. As you can tell there is a complete range of water attractions nearby as well as living in a small rural community.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...
We are both easy going people and are not "over the top"when it comes to house rules. We hope you would treat our home as you would wish we treat your home. We hope the home would be left in the same condition as when you arrived. The home has minimal maintenance. We do try to conserve water as you will be on tank water. We are open to a simultaneous or non simultaneous exchange or hosting. Neither of us smoke and we would prefer if you did then you smoke outside.
