Modern comfortable bungalow style home on one level, in a quiet area 20kms south of the city of Adelaide. Easy access to major shopping facilities, the wine regions of South Australia, beaches, theatres and Kangaroo Island a major tourist attraction, accessible by ferry south of our home.
We live in Flagstaff Hill, 30 minutes from Adelaide CBD. Flagstaff Hill is a quiet tree studded suburb within close proximity of several safe Adelaide beaches along the Gulf St Vincent. The local shopping centre with supermarket, butcher, bakery, newsagent, pharmacist, doctor, dentist and golf course is all within an 8 minute walk of our home and a major shopping mall with department stores and cinemas is 10 minutes by car. Cleland Conservation Park is only 30 minutes away, where you can hand feed kangaroos or cuddle a koala. There are many restaurant/cafe options and the premier wine region of McLaren Vale with its wide range of wineries providing cellar door wine sales and free tasting areas(many also with restaurants/cafes) is 25 minutes away. Day trips to the world famous wineries of the Barossa Valley and the mouth of the River Murray (Goolwa, Encounter Bay and Victor Harbor) are possible being about 1 hour away. The day ferry (or overnight stay) to see the wildlife and the environment of Kangaroo Island is a must visit. Two public golf courses and tennis options are within 15 minutes of home. March can be a busy time in Adelaide with the Clipsal 500 car race, and the annual Adelaide Fringe Festival or the World recognised biannual Adelaide Festival of Live theatre, Cabaret and lots more. There are beaches within 15 minutes drive.

We, Barry & Aila enjoy travelling and experiencing new places and cultures. Our 2 adult sons have left home. We busy ourselves with voluntary work, dining out, movies, playing golf, and watching AFL football when we are not travelling.
We would consider shorter exchanges within Australia but would prefer 3 to 4 week overseas exchanges, we would prefer simultaneous exchanges, but we do have some flexibility to do non simultaneous.
