Ons huis

Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil

Seeking London and Berlin for May 2020. We can sometimes arrange non-simultaneous exchanges. Experienced Homelink members have two-storey two-bedroom/two-office Converted Warehouse: pool shared with three very friendly neighbours: high ceilings, walls covered with art, large library area. Two double bedrooms, and a double sofa bed downstairs in living area
In Camperdown near the University of Sydney, only 15 minutes from the airport, with an array of eclectic eateries and shops within 5-10 minutes walk from the house (including gelateria just voted the world's best!). Car share is available, but also very close to both train and bus into centre of city. A wonderful location for a base to travel around Sydney and NSW. Good wireless internet. No landline phone connection, so mobile is essential. Pond inside house. Reverse cycle airconditioning and heating (with solar panels). Garage available and easy on-street parking at front door.

Probably the most lively, interesting and sought after part of Sydney now, the Inner West is home to the most interesting restaurants, music venues, shops. Just 20 mins from the CBD by bicycle, 15 mins by public transport, and less than an hour from the Blue Mountains by car.

Our local gelateria was just voted the best in the world (by a jury in Italy) and it's typical of the quality of restaurants (of all varieties - excellent Turkish, Thai, Indian, Balkan and everything else) just 10 minutes walk from the house. It's also the place for interesting new small commercial art galleries, and many music venues are also within walking distance. King Street, also 10 mins walk away, is perhaps the most interesting shopping street in Sydney these days.
