I am a teacher with one year left until retirement. I lived in Costa Rica and Europe, teaching, for 9 years. ( Rome and Madrid) I'm working on my French and would like to spend some time in France to practice, as I have the summer off for holiday. I'm also about to retire, so traveling ANYWHERE is an interesting prospect! I love the European lifestyle and culture and live a pretty quiet, happy life in Austin, where I built a lovely 2 bedroom home, furnished with elegance and care.

Very special quiet but very friendly small, gated neighborhood. Lots of beautiful trees and a tiny picnic park area. (one small circle with 39 homes) Shopping and restaurants are soooo close!

There are walkable restaurants and shopping close by but you'd need a car to mostly get around. Downtown (AWESOME) Austin is 15 minutes away by car and there's so much to do with lake activities, the bats, all of the live music, hipsters, cool shops and restaurants. There is city bus service but it's not direct to downtown.
