Ein etwas anderer Tausch dieses Jahr ;-)
Leider konnten wir dieses Jahr nicht selber tauschen, aber meine Schwiegereltern hatten eine schöne und interessante Woche in eurem Haus. Sie haben Ausflüge nach Linz, Grein und Gmunden gemacht, und als das Wetter besser wurde konnten Sie auch den Pool nutzen. Wir haben uns leider nicht getroffen, aber ihr hattet glaub ich einen netten Kaffeeklatsch. Bei uns zuhause war alles in bester Ordnung und wir haben sogar noch slebstgemacht Brombeermarmelade im Kühlschrank gefunden. Reinhilde und Georg waren so nett welche aus unseren Beeren einzukochen. Vielen Dank auch für die nette Unterstützung meiner Mutter. Fürs Beeren und Äpfel hochbringen und die netten Plaudereien. Vielleicht klappt ja auch mal ein direkter Tausch. Erster Haustausch - unvergesslich !!
Unser erster Haustausch war mit euch beiden ein voller Erfolg. Das Haus von Reinhilde und Georg war wie beschrieben, geräumig, groß, sauber und offen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein besonderes Highlight war natürlich der Naturpool den wir wirklich oft genutzt haben. Der Ort Enns ist perfekt für Radtouren aller Art. Es gibt auch mehrere Badeseen die wir an den heißen Sommertagen gern besucht haben. Die Kommunikation mit Reinhilde war stets freundlich und hilfreich, sehr unkompliziert, auch während des Tausches haben wir uns mehrmals kontaktiert um einander den einen oder anderen wertvollen Tipp zu geben. Danke für den perfekten ersten Tausch mit eurem schönen großen Haus.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Es war supertoll in diesem außergewöhnlichen Haus mit tollem Naturpool. Der Garten ist so wie auf den Bildern- sehr erholend. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Auch im Haus war es sehr schön und wir haben uns gefühlt wie zu Hause. Die Familie ist sehr bemüht und herzlich.
Nice time in Austria
We really enjoy our time in Enns, Austria. The contact with the family was very easy, uncomplicated, and helpful. The house was very confortable, we so enjoy the swimmingpool, the lakes in the around, the possibilities to make some trip with the bike (very safe with young children), we discovered Linz, nice town and made a trip to the beautiful Wien! Thanks a lot to the family, everything was simple and easy.
A perfect house in a beautiful region
The house has a very successful design. It can be said that it gives off real life. It’s cozy and comfortable. Spending a few weeks in it is really pleasant. It also has a beautiful garden with a natural swimming pool attached to a pond ideal for cooling off. Contemplating them from the wooden platform is really inspiring and relaxing. The house is in a perfect location for excursions on foot and by bicycle. Enns is an old small town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Nearby is Linz. It is a city that has a lot to offer starting with the views from Pöstlingberg. From Enns it is easy to reach beautiful villages like Steyr, Wels, Freistadt and beautiful abbeys and lakes such as the Ausee and the Traunsee. Enns is halfway between Salzburg and Vienna, allowing fluid access by highway or train to both cities and all their beauties. The exchange has been easy due to the kindness, good communication and the care of all the details by the family Spiekermann.
A lovely place to stay in Austria!
We really enjoyed staying in this very interesting and unusual home in Austria. The weather was very hot for our visit which made the nature pool come into its own. How wonderful to swim in water without any chemicals. It was so refreshing too. The decks around the house are lovely, there is ping pong and a trampoline and inside a lovely conservatory. The house was fascinating, having been built by the owners. There were wonderful Roman artefacts on display from the excavation of the pool, climbing walls and bars to hang from, guitars and drum sets, and lots of cosy rooms. Enns is a lovely little town and a great base for cycling along the Danube and discovering a wealth of interesting places. A day in Linz is worthwhile and both Vienna and Saltzberg are easily accessible for a longer day trip. We went to the mountains for some walking, and to some gorgeous smaller towns like Steyr. This is very much the real Austria that British tourists often don't see. Worth brushing up on your German vocab as English is not as widely spoken as you might imagine. This made it much more fun, especially at Restaurants, where we enjoyed lots of authentic Austrian cuisine. There are plenty of pizzerias if you need a break from this food. Also, do go into the centre of Enns for special events where there often seems to be beer and dancing!
Tolle Osterferien!
Wir haben uns bei Reinhilde und Georg sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist großzügig, hell und sauber, im Garten gibt es einen Pool, in den sich die Kinder sogar im April schon gewagt haben. Für uns als geschichtsinteressierte Familie war es natürlich ein Highlight, dass das Haus auf einem ehemaligen Römerlager steht, die Fundstücke im Haus haben wir uns sehr gerne angesehen. Enns ist eine gemütliche Stadt, es gibt einiges zu sehen, das Eis schmeckt super. Gleich vom Haus aus eröffnen sich hunderte Kilometer an Radwegen entlang Donau und Enns, in den wenigen Tagen konnten wir uns kaum entscheiden, was wir alles tun sollten. Im nahen KZ Mauthausen setzten wir uns mit einem schrecklichen Teil der österreichischen (unserer) Geschichte auseinander. Städte wie Haag, Steyr und das Mostviertel lockten. Und immer war es schön, in "unser" daheim in Enns zurück zu kommen. Vielen Dank liebe Familie Spiekermann, es war toll!
Enns: much to explore, the other side of Austria!
We were summer 2016 in Enns. Fantastic weather and therefore the swimmingpool in the garden was much appreciated. Cycling is great near the Danube, and river Enns. We made a lot of kilometers. Many places of interest, cloisters, small towns like Steyr. Anton Brucknerorgan. Mauthausen was an experience. Vienna: easily to be reached with the superorganized and clean railways. And walking in mountains Voralpen, nearby.. If you are interested in exploring another kind of Austria, in a non- tourist environment and village, you must go to Enns.-
