Linda and Jack helped us in a situation of great need. Our exchange with Denver had fallen through and we couldn`t find another one. Most people worldwide were reluctant to travel because the Ukraine war had just broken out and there was still Covid. But the flights had already been paid for and there was no way getting the money back. Also we desperately needed holidays after two years with Covid. They offered their house in Florida, very conveniently located close to the coast and away from the huzzle and buzzle of the tourist cities. But not too far away. They did so although they knew that they most likely would not come to Germany that year or even at all. What an incredible generosity!! This is the true spirit of homelink. This is the community, better the family, of homelink at its best. We had a great stay in Florida starting from their beautiful home, visiting the wonderful National Parks close by, watching manatees, turtles, pelicans ... Neighbours and friends came by, chatting, giving tips and even inviting us out to dinner. We had a great time. Linda`s and Jack`s home is very conveniently located to all places in the North of Florida (1-2 Hours drive) like Orlando, St. Augustine, Cape Canaveral, Daytona Beach and all the other beautiful beaches. The other main destinations are also wthin easy reach. So in dark times there is always a light Thanks to Linda and Jack
