We have lived here for 21 years and love the location. Karen is a retired Hospice social worker and Lucy was a spiritual director. We each have children and grandchildren (Lucy has 2 great-grands). Our Quaker/Buddhist backgrounds contribute to our enjoying nature, quiet and social justice. We hope you will enjoy our welcoming home. We were married under the care of Eugene Friends Meeting (Quakers) in 1997. Our garage has been remodeled into a small apartment which currently has one female occupant. The only shared space is the laundry room and the back large deck which currently has a large tent on it for Covid 19 safe space to meet our friends and family.

Beskrivelse av hjemmet vi tilbyr å bytte bort
Located 6 miles from Eugene, this rural setting has an open view of Mt. Pisgah county park with lots of hiking trails. Strawberries, blueberries, grapes, peaches, raspberries, apples, even a small vineyard are all grown within 1 mile. Only 7 houses on this quiet, dead-end paved street, we have a newly remodeled kitchen and the 3rd bedroom is used as a meditation or craft room. There are 2 decks on the back of the house with raised beds full of vegetables in the front yard. Beautiful sunrises over the mountain as the house faces East.

Beskrivelse av vårt nabolag og området rundt
Our neighborhood is very quiet with friendly neighbors and a beautiful view. Being so close to a 500 acre park on a butte just a mile away brings our neighborhood together to preserve the confluence of the Willamette River. And we are so close to the city that we can enjoy dining, culture and sports only 6 miles away. Portland is just 100 miles away and the coast is only 60 miles.

Våre tips til steder å gå og ting å gjøre mens du bor i vårt hjem
It is one mile to the Willamette River and the park. We are two miles from I-5 and 6 miles from Eugene, a city (University town) of 250,000 with all the wonderful amenities you would expect. Only one hour to the Pacific Ocean and 45 minutes to the Cascade Mountains. This is track town USA with the University of Oregon Ducks!
