I am a single female with two children who own their own homes. I am an adventurer who loves to travel, and as a retired social worker I now have the time to do that. I love visiting places I've never been before and meeting interesting people on my journeys. My home was also an Airbnb and I truly enjoy hosting people from all over the world. I realize the importance of treating each home as my own and respecting each persons personal space. I have been home exchanging on this site since 2017, but did not travel or exchange during Covid. Im happy to rejoin this community of like minded people.

My home is in a relatively rural area. Its built with 5 acres around it, but is close to all amenities: shopping, ocean, mountains, amusement parks, historical landmarks and sites; and close to exciting cities and towns such as Richmond, Petersburg, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Washington D.C. and Charlottesville. The home is 10 minutes from major interstates and 15 minutes from the Amtrak train station which will take you to New York City in 6 hours.

I live in a rural setting. The house sits in the middle of 10 acres of land in beautiful surroundings of trees and gardens. It's very private and relaxing, but large shopping centers, historic monuments and parks, national and state parks, restaurants and grocery stores are easily accessible and close to my home.

From my home it is 10 minutes to Old Town Petersburg; 20 minutes to Pocohontas State Park; 25 minutes to downtown Richmond; 45 minutes to Kings Dominion Amusement Park; 1.5 hours to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Charlottesville, Busch Gardens Amusement Park; and 2 hours to Virginia Beach, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park and all the amenities (hiking, boating, river rafting, etc.) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are micro breweries, winerys and ciderys surrounding this area, as close as 15 minutes away and extending all the way into the mountain areas (too many to name). This area, especially Richmond, has become reknowned for its organic and new restaurants. Its a food lovers paradise.

Love my home as your own. No smoking allowed in the home. Pets are not welcome. The home and grounds are private and relaxing. I love home exchanges and enjoy the thrill of exploring new places and making new friends through travel. I'm sure you will love my place and all the historic and beautiful places to visit in Virginia.
