Great beaches, hiking, fishing, boating and swimming is nearby in the summer months. Watch the weekly fireworks visible right from the neighborhood dock. In July/Aug spend the day at the horse track in Saratoga Springs only 30 min away. The fall foliage is spectacular in autumn. Winter brings another round of fun activities in the snow. World class ski areas are nearby at Gore Mtn (30 min) and in Lake Placid (1 hr 15 min). Snowmobile trails are right down the street or you can take a walk across the icy lake for lunch in the village or to watch the ice fisherman.
