We loved our short stay in Melissa and Carl's home. Coming from London, it was a delight for us to stay in such a beautiful rural spot. Our grandsons were over the moon out in the garden, looking after the chickens and eating some of the delicious plums. The house is in lovely, peaceful surroundings, and a great spot for exploring parts of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. There's so much to do. And a delicious meal was prepared for us when we arrived. Thank you very much, Melissa and Carl.

The cottage looks like the one in the movie "Holidays" :-) The rooms are tiny but there is enough space to move around and the outdoor equipment does the job when it is sunny. Funny chickens, who are waiting every morning behind the gate and yell at you as long as you haven't fed them... and the eggs are excellent. Very quiet place, very relaxing, not so far away from the nearest shops. Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester are not so far away. We enjoyed our stay very much and we were sad to leave after our holidays. No hesitations, we recommend it!

Thank you Melissa and Carl for these days in your lovely house and garden. We could walk in your neighbourhood, the Malvern hills and the Shropshire hills. We also visited Ludlow. Dear Melissa and Carl. We had a wonderful week in your pittoresque cottage. We loved taking care of the chickens and cat Tiddles. Thank you for letting us enjoy the fresh produce from your garden and the fresh eggs. We visited Ludlow, Hereford and Witley Court and made beautiful walks up Long Mynd. We had a tremendous time. This was such a wonderful exchange. We felt very much at home, the cottage is very, very cozy, cat Tiddles is very friendly, the chickens give you that country life feeling (as well as lots of eggs!) There is more than enough to see and do, wonderful Walks through the rolling hills, the beautiful town of Ludlow, etcetera. Still this is a very quiet region hardly visited by tourists. Melissa and Carl were extremely helpful. We even had the chance to meet them after the exchange and they were a lovely family. Also they took excellent care of our home and cat. Jeppe and Yvette.

We really enjoyed our stay in the lovely house of Melissa and Carl. The surrounding area is a hiker's delight. And there are also plenty of beautiful towns and cultural places to visit. If you love the countryside, this is the place to be! Thanks for this exchange.

Melissa's chalet was well-equipped and nicely decorated with a coastal / nautical theme. Most days we drove 3 minutes to get a park & ride bus into Dartmouth, then walked the beautiful coastal & river paths. Communication was good throughout, and our home was left sparkling clean. Thanks for a great exchange!

This was my first exchange experience and it could not have been more perfect. The cottage was delightful, comfortable, pretty, totally secluded and lovely to be in. The kitchen was well equipped and I loved taking my hosts up on their kind invitation to pick and cook produce from the kitchen garden and orchard. The gardens and all the land around the house, including woodland, were really lovely. It was fun to take care of the hens and collect eggs in the morning for breakfast. The surrounding countryside and far reaches of Shropshire were a revelation to me. I enjoyed driving along gorgeous winding roads and visited a very wide range of places, from high hilltops with astonishing views to peaceful canal towpaths and woodland; attractive and historic towns such as Ludlow and Shrewsbury; heritage sites, riverbanks, and even a perfect wild swimming location in Carding Mill Valley. My exchange family could not have been kinder, more helpful and clear and communicative. The whole experience has been a delight from start to finish. Thank you Carl, Melissa and family.

This was a very special exchange. House and surroundings were like a fairytale. It is so peaceful. Just the birds, chickens, cat. Really small roads lead you to this secret spot. Great Britain at its best!! If you enjoy rest and nature: please go to Carl and Melissa and their three sons. We made many lovely walks through the fields, along the brooks and visited many small villages and old churches, each with its own character. Shropshire hills, Wales offer many more spectacular walks. Worcester, Hereford, Ludlow offer beautiful cathedrals .Carl and Melissa have a very cosy house. If it rains you are perfectly happy with a book, when the sun shines they have a big garden and terrace. Have a good meal in "the Live and let Live" inn and feel at home. Lettie and Fokko

What a fantastic home exchange ! The house is very beautiful, in a very quiet area with plenty of places to visit. All was perfect when we arrived and we could appreciate to stay in this typical house, so nice, so cosy… This part of England surprised us : wonderful villages, beautiful towns (especially Worcester), close to Birmingham, Wales, nice hills everywhere, nature… We loved how we communicated with Melissa and Carl.
