Our house is in Patterdale village in the heart of the UK's Lake District National Park, a UNESCO world heritage area. It is situated about half a mile from the southern end of Ullswater.

The house is within walking distance of both Patterdale and Glenridding villages which both have shops, pubs and restaurants. Glenridding is home to the Ullswater Steamers, and also has boat hire available.

We have good public transport connections: Penrith Railway station is half an hour's drive away and there is a bus (the 508) that runs from Penrith to Patterdale which stops at the bottom of the lane, a 2 minute walk from the house.

Home Farm is in an ideal location to explore the Lakeland fells, being very close to the Coast to Coast long distance footpath, and to paths leading up Helvellyn, St Sunday Crag, Fairfield, Place Fell and many more "Wainwrights". We are perfectly located for exploring Wainwright's Eastern, Far Eastern and Northern Fells in particular.

We are situated within half an hour's drive of each of the main Lakeland centres of Windermere, Ambleside, Keswick and Penrith.
