Welcome to Newport, Wales, venue of the 2010 Ryder Cup. If you are a golf enthusiast we are in an ideal location, just ten minutes from the Celtic Manor, the Ryder Cup venue. In addition many delightful local courses a short drive away.

For those non golfers, Newport is commonly known as "The Gateway to Wales" and is a great base to explore. The three National Parks of The Brecon Beacons, The Black Mountains, and the Gower Peninsula with its world class beaches, are all under an hours drive away. The Roman Village of Caerleon within walking distance and the Cities of Cardiff and Bristol a short train ride away indeed London is only 90 minutes by train.

Newport lies at the base of the Welsh Valleys and played an important part in the Coal and Steel Industry. Our industrial Heritage is well served with attractions of "Big Pit" and our steel manufacturing history at Merthyr Tydfil.

We are a couple Semi Retired and our home has been recently modernised and decorated for our retirement. It has a balcony that has uninterrupted views over the River Usk, and a decked area with a summerhouse ideal for a barbecue or quiet moment. (welsh Weather permitting of course).

We are flexible and are open to offers, we would like to get somewhere warm in our winters.( A tall order we realise but you never know) Also we have relatives in Copenhagen we would like to visit. However any offers will be carefully considered.

We are not your normal holiday venue, but well worth considering. 45000 visitors per day to our recent event seemed to enjoy themselves, why not give it a try?
