Quiet rural setting but not too far from pretty market towns. Very spacious comfortable home with everything one would need and lovely views from the windows.

Lorraine's home is even better than the photos can convey: full of character, and a perfect location for walks in the Peak District.

This was our first Home Exchange and we learnt a lot! Lorraine and Pete showed us how it should be done by providing masses of information about their house and local area. It is a great place to stay for walking and cycling or just sitting in different areas of the garden to read or paint, or simply take in the views. The house is warm and cosy with plenty of room although we just liked sitting in the kitchen.

Located within 10 minutes drive of Buxton and Bakewell for shopping, restaurants and cafes. Plenty of scenic walks from the house or a short drive away. Lorraine and Pete left us a spotless house to enjoy, and plenty of useful tourist information. A memorable exchange and thoroughly recommended.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We felt safe and at home straight away and it was a lovely opportunity to relax and enjoy some fabulous walks nearby. The house is in beautiful and quiet surroundings, with amazing views from every window! With great communication throughout, it was a successful exchange.

We had a wonderful time in Derbyshire. It’s like the cover of a chocolate box wherever you look. We enjoyed visits to Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Rathkill Nature Reserve, Matlock, the Monsal Trail, Alton Towers (only 40 mins away) and day trips to Manchester and Derby (only 1 hour or so). There are so many walks and lots of great pubs, restaurants and cafes all over the Dales. You’ll be spoiled for choice! Our children really enjoyed the rides at Chatsworth farmyard, Alton Towers and just loved saying hello to the horses everyday. We wholeheartedly recommend an exchange with Lorraine and Pete. We’d love a return visit. They are extremely welcoming and have a very comfortable home. Thanks so much Lorraine & Pete!

Lorraine & Peter's home is in a beautiful village in the Peak District. They left plenty of information on places to go & where to eat. There was a lovely welcome pack awaiting us after a long drive. We had a lovely time here at Flagg last Autumn. The home was perfect and the hosts so kind, generous and thoughtful. The house is very well located for exploring the market towns and villages of Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands, the scenery and walking were just superb. We had a most memorable stay and would recommend a stay here to anyone who has not seen this part of the England before.
