We are Christine and Kevin recently retired from work and we live in Newcastle upon Tyne but have a holiday home in the seaside village of Beadnell. We have just recently joined Homelink and have 3 exchanges already arranged for this year. We are now planning for 2020 so would love to visit places in both England or in Europe with direct flights from Newcastle. We are flexible with dates. We enjoy cycling, hiking and sightseeing and home exchange has opened up lots of opportunities.

Easy access from Newcastle or Edinburgh airport or ferry from Netherlands. Holiday home is located in a village setting in Beadnell which is a great base on the Northumberland Coast ( an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ) for leisure pursuits and sightseeing. Points of interest include boat trips to see the puffins and grey seals on the Farne Islands . Activity at the seabird colonies peaks in June and July. Lindisfarne ( Holy Island ) can be accessed by causeway at low tide and the castles at Warkworth,
Alnwick, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh are nearby. For cyclists the Coast and Castles Cycle Route (NCN1 National cycle route ) the length of the Northumberland Coast . For walkers the Pilgrims Way to Holy Island, Berwickshire Coastal Path, St Cuthberts Way, St Oswalds Way, the Cheviot Hills and the 60 mile Northumberland Coastal Path. Beautiful long sandy beaches at Beadnell , Seahouses and Bamburgh. If required food shopping can be ordered on line and delivered from local supermarket. An information pack with bus timetables / leaflets / day trips will be in cottage
