Many thanks to Carla and Jan for this beautiful exchange. We felt very comfortable in their cozy home and the beautiful garden. Haarlem is a great historic city, which has a lot to offer, but was also the ideal starting point for many excursions. Among other things, we visited some small towns on the North Sea, which was very relaxing. Everything was fine, thanks for the relaxed and uncomplicated contacts ... Carla and Jan left their beautiful and comfortable house well prepared for us. We loved to care for their little cat "Floyd". Haarlem is a wonderful town with beautiful old buildings, places, many excellent shops, restaurants and cafés. We also enjoyed many attractions nearby: Amsterdam, Zandfort and the great Parnassia Beach, Kennemer National Park...... Thank you, Carla and Jan, for a great time! We really enjoyed our stay in Haarlem, at Carla & Yan's place. Their lovely house is situated in a nice neighborhood 10 minutes cycling to the beautiful city of Haarlem following the canal 10 km from the sea crossing a beautiful park & 20 minutes to Amsterdam by train. The house was just perfect to us and Carla & Yan even let some of their grand-children's games which our daughters enjoyed a lot playing with. For us it was the place to be this summer.
