Downtown Seattle, only 15-20 minutes away, offers many attractions: Pike Place Market, the Dale Chihuly [glass] Museum, the Space Needle, etc. From Seattle, one can easily explore beaches and islands in the Puget Sound, or hiking trails in the Cascade Mountains, both within an hours drive. Mount Rainier, Olympic and North Cascade National Parks are only a few hours away. And not much further are Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), the former of which can be accessed by high-speed catamaran or ferry; the latter by car, bus or train. In short, there are both natural and urban attractions, and we have spent many years trying to see them all.
