Nabolag

Beskrivelse av vårt nabolag og området rundt

Whether food, art and culture, or simply strolling - the Lehenviertel offers variety and everything you could possibly want. Many houses have stores - newspaper kiosks, bakery and cafe, pharmacies, etc. - on the first floor. Gastronomic variety from international to traditional Swabian, have a relaxed breakfast or just enjoy the pretzel from the baker in the street - no problem.

Directly from the front door, into the surrounding vineyards there are numerous vantage points in the heights, which invite you to walks with fantastic views.
Whether demanding over the legendary "Stäffele" or more comfortable with the cable car and the "Zacke", the ascent can be perfectly combined with a walk or hike and of course a leisurely stop for a quarter of Württemberger wine.

Våre tips til steder å gå og ting å gjøre mens du bor i vårt hjem

Those who go on a museum tour in Stuttgart can enjoy not only the technology and automobile museums of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, but also a wide range of art and architecture, ethnology, natural history and history. First and foremost, the two major museums, the Staatsgalerie and the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, will delight you with their first-class collections and exhibitions of international standing. But local and regional art associations also enrich the artistic dialogue with projects and works by contemporary artists.

The Stuttgart State Opera is one of the most important opera houses in Europe. The main venue is located in Stuttgart's Schlossgarten. The Stuttgart State Opera has been awarded several times as "Opera House of the Year" as well as for the "Choir of the Year".
The Stuttgart Ballet is one of the world's leading ballet ensembles. This reputation was established in 1961 by ballet director John Cranko and his ensemble.

A manifesto of modernism - in 1927, the Weissenhof Siedlung was built on a hill on the outskirts of the city of Stuttgart. It comprises 33 cubic flat-roofed houses that formed the core of the Werkbund exhibition "The Dwelling". Their aim - to find contemporary answers to the question "How to live".
The designs come from the architects L. Mies v.d.R., Le Corbusier, W. Gropius and H. Scharoun as well as the "most characteristic representatives of the modern movement" from five countries.
The building ensemble has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2016. An exhibition on the history of the entire estate can be seen in the Weissenhof Museum, and Le Corbusier's house can be visited in its 1927 state.

Excursions in the immediate vicinity take you by car, train, bicycle or Neckarboat to medieval towns such as Esslingen, Heidelberg, Nuremberg, Constance, Tübingen or Ulm. The well-preserved old towns are rich in history and even today the proud town history can be felt and experienced in every alley.
Cities with their baroque towns and palaces such as Ludwigsburg, Karlsruhe or Mannheim can be reached in day trips, as can the Lake Constance region or the highlands of the Black Forest, Swabian Alb, Schurwald and the Swabian-Franconian Forest.

Good local and long-distance transport connections enable uncomplicated, fast connections to neighbouring metropolitan regions such as Munich, Frankfurt or Cologne, but also to neighbouring countries such as France or Switzerland, especially to Basel, Zurich, Strasbourg or Paris.
