From our house you are in Salzburg city center by car in about 20 minutes (9km), from our house its 1,7km to the Freilassing train station, all trains from Munich to Salzburg/Vienna are stopping here. The S-Bahn stops only 500m from us and there is a stop for the local bus only 150m from our house. The S-Bahn runs two times per hour and takes you to Salzburg city in only 10 minutes. In Salzburg you have all the tourist attractions, museums, theater, cinemas, shopping malls, and, and, and. Freilassing is a smaller town with shopping, restaurants, cafes and 3 times a week there is a market with food from local growers.
We are living in a quiet residential area with family homes. Upstairs lives a nice elderly lady with her small dog.
You can visit Bad Reichenhall (15km), Königsee (38km) or Berchtesgaden (35km), the Salzkammergut (44km) with beautiful lakes and mountains. You can book a “sound-of-music-tour” and see all the movie attractions.
