Cozy first floor apartment in a quiet area, with excellent transport links, 4 minutes walk to train station (London Zone 5), 20 minutes by train to central London. After sightseeing in the city you can retreat to a picturesque, leafy suburb.
Twickenham offers: fine walks along a particularly beautiful stretch of the Thames to Richmond (excellent shopping, restaurants and theatre, as well as Richmond Deer Park); 2 historic properties (Marble Hill House and Ham House - by local ferry across the Thames); boat trips (also rowing boats for hire); coffee and tea shops; excellent restaurants; and a range of supermarkets. Twickenham is half an hour to Royal Windsor and Eton and Hampton Court Palace and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Apart from the many attractions of London, exploring the immediate area could happily fill several days. The sofa opens to a comfortable bed. New Nespresso machine and flat screen tv, not pictured. I travel alone or with an adult daughter.

In the immediate area, there are stately homes, and riverside walks. Close by is Hampton Court Palace, Henry the 8ths home which is open to tour, outside there are beautiful gardens. Windsor, the location of Windsor Castle, also open for tours. Eton is just over the bridge at Windsor, the tour of Eton College is fascinating and the whole area is picturesque. Twickenham is on the express rail line to London, the trip takes between 15-20 minutes depending on how many stops the train you takes has. All that London has to offer is easily accessible from here.
