Our home is compact and comfortable, very easy to manage. We have two studies each with a television and one with a futon. The conservatory is a great asset and the garden sunny and the patio secluded. Tunbridge Wells is a very attractive town with many open spaces, parks and gardens. We are within walking distance of the Pantiles with its watering place, covered walkway, restaurants and tea shops. Located on the Kent/Sussex border there is access to scenic countryside, charming villages and National Trust properties. It is great walking and cycling area and within an hour's drive of the south coast. London is 55 minutes by train.

From our house it is a short walk to cafes and shops on the Pantiles, Chapel Place and High Street. At the end of Broadwater Down is Hargate Forest managed by the Woodland Trust. The Common is adjacent to the Pantiles and other parks, Calverley and Dunorlan, not far distant. The Spa Railway runs from the Pantiles to Groombridge. Interesting day trips (within an hour) would be to Ashdown Forest, the South Downs, Winchelsea Beach on the south coast or one of the many National Trust properties and well known gardens such as 'Great Dixter'.
