We had a wonderful exchange with the Illingworth family! The small town of Dunbar is right on the North Sea coast and there are beaches and many easy walking paths. We took the train (20-min.) into Edinburgh on several days and another time we went into Glasgow for a couple days (1-hr. train ride). It was so nice to return to their lovely, quiet neighborhood after being in the bustling cities. It was an easy walk to the quaint town center where we visited the John Muir Museum and historic harbor and castle ruins. Their home was more than adequate for our needs; very clean and tidy with lovely gardens to relax in. Their cat, Dora, kept us entertained, whilst they took good care of our cat Millie back home. We highly recommend an exchange with this lovely family!
