This is a renovated old school house situated in a traditional unspoilt Spanish farming village. Almonds and olives are the crops. It is only a 1 ml walk along the rambla, or 3 ml drive to beautiful beaches, La Azohia at the north end of the Bay of Mazarron. All around this bay are lovely and varied beaches - take your pick!

The surrounding hills are perfect for walking.

There are a few foreign residents in the village, most of my neighbours are friendly spanish farmers. There is a bar/restaurant/village Hall just 100m away and the village organises many events to which visitors are always welcome. The bar is always busy at weekends, Livelier and multi- cultural coastal resorts with a variety of bars and restaurants are nearby.

Inland there are mountains, country parks and a number of castles that can be visited on day trips. The one road through the village leads to Cabo Tinoso a remote and deserted but large military cliff top fort built in the 1920's. The english-made guns are still in situ. If you look at the map you get some indication of the breath-taking views when driving to the end of Cabo Tinoso. Once there you can appreciate it's significance in potentially protecting the port of Cartagena, though I don't think the guns were ever fired in anger!

The nearest big town is Cartagena which has a great harbour making it very important from pre-Roman Times. There are several very interesting museums and a model of the first submarine - or the first submarine to return from the depths!

There is a bus stop one and a half miles away. The bus goes to Cartagena where there is a train station. The nearest airport is Corvera (Murcia), less than an hour. Alicante is about 2 hours.
