The house is on a new complex so all the houses are less than three years old. We are on the edge of a small popular village noted for Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest. We're very close to the A1 motorway which takes you south to London or north to Yorkshire and beyond. There's also an excellent train service from Newark upon Trent to Kings Cross London which take about one hour twenty minutes. The M1 motorway is about half an hour away. For literature lovers there is Lord Byron's home, Newstead Abbey. D.H. Lawrence small house museumn in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire and of course the legend Major Oak referred to in many tails of Robin Hood. For theatre lovers the city of Nottingham has the Concert Hall and the Victorian Theatre Royal where orchestral concerts and plays/musicals are shown. There is a major ice skating rink created after Torvill & Dean became British European Olympic winners/World Champion . There are several golf courses and horse riding stables.
