We are Joaquin and Aurelio, a couple of artists (painter/sculptor and photographer) that offer a private and comfortable apartment in our art center and guests house "Palau de Miravet" (Miravet's Palace), in front of the river Ebro and its magnificent open-wide landscape, 2 hours far south Barcelona (Catalonia).

The apartment is private with a capacity for two people (2) and has a living room, kitchen, terrace, bathroom and a bedroom with balcony and views to the river.

It is equipped with heating and air conditioning, appliances and kitchenware, chaise-longue sofa, table, 6 chairs and two hammocks on the terrace.

The doors and windows are double glass for a better energy efficiency.

The double bed is 150 × 190 cm with noiseless bed base and high quality latex mattress and pure cotton bed dress.

The apartment is placed at the first floor of the house Palau of Miravet.



THE HOUSE

"Palau de Miravet" (Miravet's Palace) is the most emblematic civil building in the historic quarter of Miravet occupying a privileged place facing the river.

The original palace was built by the Great Master of the Hospital Order around 1446-1461 and rebuilt in 1840 by the governor of Philippines. We start the restoration and conditioning in 2008 as an art center in homage to the great modernist catalan painter Joaquim Mir, who resided and dedicated part of his work to Miravet in 1929-1930.


MIRAVET

This small and charming town is well known for its picturesque and monumental historic center, with the Templar castle and the local traditional pottery surrounded by the wild environment in the middle of the Ebro river Biosphere Nature Reserve by UNESCO.
