Yves picked us up from the local train station and drove us to his beautiful Swiss home up in the mountains. It had lovely views over the valley and you could take several hikes up higher right from the front door. The house was well-equipped and he had filled the fridge with food and drink for our first night (in fact several nights!). The house was situated in a lovely small town and only about 20 minutes from Sion. The area has lots to do and, being from Canada, the distances seem very short to almost everything! Yves was a gracious, informative host. We had the use of his car for the week and one of his sons kindly drove us to the train station on the last day. We could not have asked for a better experience.
