Willkommen in Ingelheim, einer
schönen Stadt am Rhein mit vielen Wanderwegen, Weingütern und schöner Natur, dazu bieten wir unser gemütliches Haus, einige Haustiere (Mops, Katzen, Hühner) und einen lauschigen Garten. Im Moment bevorzugen wir Tausche mit Paaren oder Familien mit älteren Kindern (12+).

Welcome to our region full of spirit and natural beauty!
Comfortable charming old house with a big garden (hammock & BBQ).
Ideally situated in a popular picturesque touristic area with many attractive old castles, the famous river Rhine valley and many vineyards. Lot's of things to do and to see for families with children or retired history-and-wine-lovers (boat trip to the Rhine-castles, open-air museums, roman castle, barefoot-path, shopping and museums, tree-top climbing-park, etc.)
All our exchange partners since 2007 have really enjoyed our home and this traditional wine area (and took some bottles of tasty red wine and Riesling back home..) and we have prepared many helpful informations for interesting daily tours for you.
Close cities are Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Heidelberg.
We need pet care for our pug, cats, some fish and chicken (fresh egg in the morning!) - but it is simple and doesn't take much time.

We live in a quiet one-way-street with friendly neighbours in the old part of Nieder-Ingelheim. Our home is situated beside a private park, so our garden is visited by many birds and surrounded by old trees.You can do nice walks around the old town and visit the former palace of Charlemagne. My mother lives nearby. There is a water-playground around the corner and Ingelheim offers a weekly market, good restaurants, ice-cafés, walks on the hills/through the forest/along the river and relaxing places for an evening with pretzel and beer/wine at the river Rhine. Ingelheim is popular for its red wine and you can taste high-quality wine everywhere in our village. The indoor-public-pool "Rheinwelle" is a good alternative for rainy days. Sporty people can do hiking through beautiful landscape, tennis, golf, cycling, fishing, canouing and sailing.

Along the river Rhine you can visit many old castles, do a boat-trip to Bacharach or take the cablelift on the top of the hills and enjoy the fantastic view from the "Niederwald-Denkmal". Wiesbaden and Mainz are attractive cities with many shops, restaurants, museums (e.g. the museum of ancient shipping with old Roman boats). In about 50 -90 minutes by car there are many interesting places such as a barefoot-path, the highest cold-water geyser in Europe, two open-air-museums and "Phantasialand", a famous fun park in Cologne, or beautiful "Burg Eltz" or Heidelberg.
We prepared some files with many information but we also offer our "personal top-10-list" especially for families with places we often go to!

Because Ingelheim is a wine-area we normally have hot summers and mild and sunny autumns until late October.

You can walk through Ingelheim, visit the weekly market or you just go to the town center for a yummy Italian ice-cream...
