We had a wonderful stay at Sophie & Jean's. The house is lovely, the pool a life-saver, the location brilliant and Montpellier is our new favourite city in France! The house is in a perfect location for both practicalities and being a tourist. We had a wonderful time exploring the region with some great day trips, as well as visiting local beaches and Montpellier itself. The tram makes getting into the city incredibly easy and it is beautiful when you get there. We spent two half days having very relaxed walks around the city. And definitely take up Sophie & Jean's restaurant recommendation - as they say, your doctor may not thank them for it, but you will! The house is just as wonderful for a base. We spent days in and beside the pool, sitting under the trees reading or playing games. It is perfect for outdoor eating - and we did a lot of that as well... Sophie and Jean are wonderful hosts - there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there, their notes were amazingly useful and they have the patience of saints (due to too much going on during a rather tricky year, I was not the most prompt of correspondents...). And no guest book comment can be left without mention of Madame Zigou-Zigou! A beautiful and friendly cat, who the children loved to have around. Thank you Sophie & Jean for a wonderful swap.
