I live in my house, part time with my daughter (17 years old), and part time with my boyfriend.
I am 52 years old, run a business in profiling, branding and marketing, and have an academic background as trained teacher. My boyfriend is a petroleum engineer, and my daughter a high school girl (17), second year. We are active people who like to work out, go for sightseeing, love culture related to food and wine. We travel as much as we can, and hope for exchanges with families that would like to get to know our wonderful country. It's a perfect location for exploring Norway and the Norwegian capitol.
We like to exchange with houses/apartments where there is walking distance to shops, restaurants, some vivid life and preferably the sea/beaches! We don't want to do mountain hiking or live in secluded areas. We have plenty of that in Norway! We will not take care of your pets, unfortunately. Not that we don't like them, but it ties you too much to the house when on holiday.
I was a member for some years in the early 2000s, and have had wonderful exchanges twice in Italy and once in Denmark - and last summer with France.

For summer 2020 we will have to plan last minute due to change in offshore schedule spring 2020. As of today we could be interested in swaps from around 20. July until around 10. August at the latest. Weekends also of interest for all of 2020.
Modern and nice house over three stories, close to Oslo (20 km). 150 m2.
Downstairs: bedroom/livingroom (bed 1.80m x 2.0m), bathroom with shower/laundry, separate toilet with sink. Hallway, storage room, wardrobe.
Middle floor: kitchen with all modern equipment, living room/dining room with access to outdoor patio with table, chairs, barbeque, plants. TV and fireplace in the living room.
Upper floor: Walk in closet, two bedrooms (bed 1.60m x 2.0m in one room and 1.80m x 2.0m in the other), bathroom with shower.
We have extra mattresses too, so can easily sleep two more on the floor. Not suitable for people with walking disabilities.

Very quiet neighbourhood, with nice and friendly neighbours, playground for kids outside, a little creek nearby. About 8 minutes to walk to bus or train that takes you to Oslo City Center in 15 minutes. Walking distance to trecking paths in woods, and five minutes to nearby beaches and swimming hall by car. Lots of shopping opportunities very close by as well. The biggest shopping mall in Norway 5 minutes away.

We're so close to Oslo that all the attractions of Norway's capitol is within reach in less than thirty minutes. The Holmenkollen ski jump, the Opera, the Royal Castle, the museums and theatres, restaurants and shopping, the Oslo fjord with excursions and fishing. The neighbourhood has nice walking/jogging paths within a couple of minutes, and you can go cross country skiing from the house easily if exchange is during winter. Also for swimming we have some beaches a km or two away. Grocery stores close by, but not really a small town feeling, more suburbian with Oslo as main attraction. 1,5 hours by car from the Swedish west coast too, if you want to explore Sweden while staying in Norway. We'll swap cars if you want!
If you're here during winter, all kinds of winter sports can be performed here. You can actually go cross country skiing from our house (!), there are several alpine skiing slopes close by, you can go ice skating or the very fun "Korketrekkeren" with sledges downhill and the tram going up.

No special house rules actually - we feel sure you will take good care of the house as we will take good care of yours! If exchange during summer we would be happy if you water the outside plants on our little terrasse, but not much maintainance needed otherwise.
