WE ARE NOW LOOKING FOR EXCHANGES IN AUSTRALIA, DURING JUNE/JULY 2024 AND ANYWHERE IN NZ, ANY TIME, ANY LENGHT CONSIDERED.

Our home is on a dairy farm in a rural setting half an hour from Whakatane, 1 1/2hrs from Rotorua and Tauranga.
The house is two storey with 3 bedrooms upstairs along with a bathroom and toilet.
one King bed, one queen bed and two singles.
Downstairs is kitchen/dining/lounge - all open plan. Our office and bedroom are also downstairs but closed during exchange.
With a simultaneous exchange you would have to hire a car either from Whakatane, Rotorua, Tauranga or Auckland depending on which airport you flew into as there is no public transport past Whakatane.
If the exchange is non simultaneous we can pick you up from Whakatane, Rotorua or Tauranga airports and leave you with a car.

ROTORUA is a popular tourist town and area that is famous for it's hot pools, geysers and mud pools as well as show casing New Zealand Maori culture.

TAURANGA/ MT MAUNGANUI is a popular summer beach destination and shopping town.

WHAKATANE
There are surf/fishing and swimming beaches within half hr drive of our home.
Whakatane is home to the now infamous White Island an active volcano, which you can no longer land on but is an hour boat ride from Whakatane, where you can also swim with dolphins.
Whakatane also has a range of Game Fishing charters depending on the time of visit.

EAST COAST HIGHWAY - this is a popular trip driving around the beautiful east coast exploring the undeveloped bays and beaches.

There are many day hiking tracks within half an hour drive as well as lakes and rivers for swimming and fishing.


WAIMANA RIVER below our house is a popular trout fishing river as is LAKE ROTOMA and ROTOITI, which are 45mins away.


We have a very basic holiday home (bach) at Lake Rotoma that can also be exchanged.
