We are a family of 5; Mum, Dad and three adult children. Our children no longer live with us but still like to come on some holidays with us sometimes. We are a sporty group so enjoy holidays that involve adventures and activities but equally like to put our feet up and enjoy a chat. We love cooking and eating so the kitchen is always a busy place. We love to explore new places and are open to new places to visit.

Beskrivelse av hjemmet vi tilbyr å bytte bort
Our home is brand new, built and completed in 2022, which we would love to share with you. It is situated on the Tahunanui Hills of sunny Nelson with beautiful views overlooking the mountains, golf course and beach. It is at the bottom of a dead-end street in a quiet residential area. The house is on two levels; the ground floor level has two bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry. Upstairs is the master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. It has a large full kitchen, dining area and living room for sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet and view. There is a separate TV / media room and toilet. It has a deck for enjoying outdoor eating and a secluded garden patio for listening to the bird song.
We are still in the process of finishing off the final bits and pieces. Some of the photos might look a bit sparse but we will have it fully finished by the time you come to stay and we will update the photos as this happens.

Our neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful with a mixture of families and retired people. It is friendly and welcoming. It is a short walk to the Tahunanui village which has a mixture of cafes, restaurants, a medical centre, pharmacy, art gallery and hairdresser. It is also a short walk to the very safe Tahunanui beach where there are plenty of activities from stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, kite surfing and just lying in the sun. The Nelson Golf course is 2.5km and there are tennis courts a 5min walk away.

From our house it is a short walk to the beach and a number of cafes, restaurants and sports activities. Nelson City is 5km away and is a vibrant small city with many wonderful cafes, restaurants, art galleries, museum, theatre and school of music.
There are many walks close to the centre of Nelson including the Grampians, the Centre of New Zealand and the Barnicoat. These walks cater of all ages and fitness ability. Biking is also very popular in the region and there are many bike tracks for you to explore.
It is a 45min drive to the start of the Abel Tasman National park which you can explore on foot, kayak or by water taxi. It is beautiful all year round. The Nelson Lakes National Park is about an hours drive. There are many walks, downhill skiing and ski touring is popular is this area. The Kahurangi National Park is nearby and also offers many walks and overnight adventures.

We are tidy people and would like the house to be left in the way in which you find it. If you do not fancy cleaning afterwards, that is fine, we charge a $100 cleaning fee. We are happy to have children over 10 years of age but no pets and no smoking inside please.
