Zutphen is a former trading town located on the river "de IJssel" and is called "Torenstad" (means city of towers) The city centrum is a joy to walk through with his well preserved old ruines, middle age towers and buildings. From our house (located on the other side of the river) you can have a walk through the outbanks of the IJssel to the city across the bridge into old city town. Loads of nice restaurants , terrasses , and bars. There a several mapped citywalks to do. There is a small beach 5 minutes walk, near the river. On 8km drive you can go for a swim in a lake and have a icecream or something to eat in the nearby restaurant Fort Bronsbergen. Also the outskirts are nice to cycle through. Within a few minutes you are in silent nature out of busy town. Our house has a nice big yard with own swimmingpool Ø 400cm. campfire spot, hammock, all to relax as much as possible
