We had so wonderful experiences on our cycle tours. We enjoyed it every day!

Wir waren von unserem Tausch nach Houten begeistert und sehr glücklich, unsere Fahrräder dabei gehabt zu haben ! Ein gemütliches Städtchen, schöne Lokale, wunderbare Ausflugsziele (Utrecht, die "neue Wasserlinie" mit Burgen und Wehren rund um den Fluss Lek und den Amsterdam-Rheinkanal) - und alles erreichbar mit dem Fahrrad ! Das Häuschen ist gemütlich und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten für einen unbeschwerten Aufenthalt. Außerdem hat es einen kleinen, urigen, naturbelassenen Garten. Für uns ein gelungener Austausch über ein verlängertes Wochenende, an den wir sehr gern zurückdenken. Der Kontakt mit Erwina und Nico war sehr entspannt und absolut unkompliziert.

We had a very nice time in Houten at Erwina's and Nico's place. We did a lot of cycling and really loved it! It's so much better to cycle in the netherlands than in Austria. We hope one day it will be the same in our country! Erwina and Nico have many nice board games which we played a lot with our daughter. We had lovely trips to Rotterdam, Leiden, Zeist and of course Utrecht - what a special city! We enjoyed Holland a lot - thank you for your hospitality, Erwina and Nico!

We felt very much at home during our week in Houten. Erwina and Nico have a wonderful collection of fantastic films and old LPs which we enjoyed a lot. Houten is an amazing modern town, completely and consequently designed for cyclists. This alone makes a stay in Erwinas' and Nicos' home a special experience.

We had a great time! Lovely central location, attentive hosts and beautiful country. Thank you for allowing us to have such a wonderful holiday. Everything was great at the house, thank you for the travel cards and the lovely welcome gifts. We loved Houten and enjoyed exploring Holland.

17.-23.04.2017: my sister-in-law Ilse and I spent a wonderful week. We learned about new gardening and seeds by Erwina, Nico knows all about nature and birds. Classical music! Nico took us to Keukenhof/Lisse – missions of tulips are flowering at this time, and he invited us to enjoy a flower-corso on friday evening! Next Blumenkorso in Bollenstreek will be on Saturday 21. April 2018, Motto "Culture". Start in Noordwijk. Ilse and I enjoyed the lekker meals and always interesting conversation with Erwina and Nico – we have had a very good time!

A nice, clean and comfortable home with pretty garden close to cozy Utrecht. There is a lot more to the Netherlands than Amsterdam, so be brave and choose something different. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Erwina and Nico for a lovely stay.
