Lori's home had a peaceful charm with muted and neutral colours, silver, plenty of light and brightness, potted plants, all the technology we could want and every modern convenience - it was very clean and well organized. The vibrant and lively neighbourhood was just a 15-minute walk to the beautiful High Park and I had a recommendation to see a spectacular artwork there "Seeing the Invisible". We had coffee at the Jazz Cafe, went to the Island, the Art Galleries and I did some local shopping. Lori was a most kind and generous host, allowing my daughter to stay with me as a guest while her house is being worked on and without a bathroom or kitchen. When I got home everything was as it should be, and our little dog Lazarus that Lori looked after was happy, well, and clearly well-cared for. It was a fantastic exchange and I recommend it as a wonderful urban base for touring Toronto.

We loved our exchange with Lori! Her lovely homes in Toronto and Hamilton were like new, clean and very well decorated and both were great bases for exploring. Lori was a gracious and generous host and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Her extensive visitor’s guides with suggestions for activities, hikes, day trips and restaurants was invaluable during our stay. We particularly enjoyed hanging out in Toronto on her courtyard deck chilling out with a morning cup of coffee or glass of wine. While a nice car was made available to us and we did use it to visit Niagara Falls and Hamilton areas, a car really is not necessary in Toronto because public transportation is convenient, awesome and so easy to use. Lori was a respectful and attentive guest during her two-week stay, and left our house immaculate. Communication was great before and during the exchange. Truly a very nice person who was a pleasure to get to know. Highly recommended and we look forward to exchanging again someday!

Lori was amazing. She organized her day to make sure we were able to have easy access to her car on arrival and in returning it to her. The condo was well equipped and in a great location. Looking forward to reciprocating next year. Thank you Lori.

Lori was a great host and communication before and during was excellent. Her apartment is in a lovely area of town and good location for hiking and day trips. Plenty to do there for a week or two. Restaurants, cafes and shopping close by. One hour to Niagara falls and similar to Toronto. A car is certainly handy although you could do it on bus transport.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lori’s place. Everything went so well! We got a lovely welcome and were shown around the house by Lori. The house was very central and great for meeting up with other family members to see the sights. Lori left lots of books and maps showing what could be done in the area and surrounds. Nearby there were lots of restaurants and bars and there was even a Greek festival on the next street while we were there which was great fun with music and street food. Using the house as a base we visited Montreal by train, but also nearby places like St Jacobs and the Menonite farmers market there. We organised a day out at the Niagara Falls and another to a wine farm near the town of “Niagara on the lake” which is very pretty. We had lunch at the Vineyard. There were lots of other places I would have liked to have gone but the wedding on Toronto Island was spectacular and with the time spent with Canadian Family and Irish Family, ........well..... time just ran out!!!. A fantastic apartment in a great location, near all public transport, shops and restaurants. Lori was there to meet us and had lots of information on Toronto. While we were planning our trip to Canada, the help and advice Lori gave us was invaluable. Toronto is a beautiful city to visit and we would highly recommend Lori as a perfect exchange partner.

We had a very nice stay in Loris apartment. The apartment was cosy and spacious, and the terrace was a nice surplus. The apartment was placed close to the subway line, and not far from towncenter. Toronto is a amazing town, and the region has a lot of attractions. We visited Montreal too, by Viarail, and this town is alså very nice - with the frenchspeaking inhabitants and a city, which has many commonalities with european cities.

We had such a fabulous trip to Toronto. The townhouse is beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is a bus stop right outside and a subway station within two blocks. Shopping is close as are many restaurant options. The city itself is fun, fun, fun! We enjoyed riding the subway, buses, and streetcars everywhere. We visited Second City, Toronto Island, and Niagara Falls, not to mention all of the wonderful neighborhoods, shopping areas, and beaches. Lori is a great exchange partner who is very reliable and communicative. She left our home in perfect order and stayed in contact while we finalized arrangements and throughout the visit. She gave us some great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and left lots of literature on the area. Highly recommended as a great experience!
