We live in a small, welcoming community surrounded by beautiful scenery with many local walking trails and easy access to water activities on Lough Derg within 5 minutes' drive. We share a private jetty which is a mile from our house and we have a 2-person kayak there which visitors can use. Our nearest little town / village is Killaloe, 10 minutes' drive away where you will find supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs etc. The local people here are always ready for a chat and you can have memorable evenings at the local pubs, some with live music. The magnificent west coast of Ireland is just over an hour's drive from home with the Cliffs of Moher, cliff walks, surfing beaches and fabulous scenery. East Clare is famous for its traditional music and there are festivals throughout the summer for you to enjoy authentic Irish music and culture.
