Anne et Alain ont une maison très accueillante et très bien située pour des ballades aussi bien en bord de mer qu'à Guérande ou La Baule

We have had such a fabulous exchange experience with Alain & Anne, we are still floating a little bit from our wonderful and relaxing holiday at their home. Their house is extremely comfortable, very cozy and well laid out. The kitchen is new and fully equipped (we did a lot of cooking, enjoying the fantastic local produce and seafood), the living room is very relaxing and opens up onto the large garden patio and garden, we enjoyed a lot of evening reading in this space. And last, but not least, the garden is a true oasis! They have some wonderful, big trees providing cool shade on a hot summer's day and also lots of warm, sunny spots. Our daughters enjoyed climbing in the wooden playhouse & slide, running around the garden, playing table tennis and we all enjoyed playing the (French) game of petanque on the common green outside the house. The house is situated in a very quiet, residents only zone, surrounded by lots of greenery, a natural reserve with birdwatching and walking opportunities and a short bike ride away from the beach. There is so much to do around Mesquer, lovely little villlages, and Mesquer itself has gorgeous beaches, with a truly authentic atmosphere. There is a folder filled with information on all there is to do and see in the neighbourhood and Alain & Anne kept in touch with us during our stay, sharing great tips for restaurants and activities. Our days consisted of going for morning runs along the salt marshes and the beach, taking a quick swim and then running back home. Visiting the absolutely fantastic local markets with exquisite French food (we definitely gained some weight!), having a lazy summer's lunch in the garden with some moscatel and then going to the beach in the late afternoon for a swim, followed by fresh oysters and champagne at the local oyster bar! It was heavenly and we hope to exchange with Alain and Anne again in the future, we had one of our best family holidays!

We had a great exchange with Anne and Alain. Their home is in a beautiful part of southern Britany, surrounded by lots of picturesque villages and market towns. Its a short walk to the beach, as well as having direct access to some great salt flats and birdwatching. Their house is spacious, with a lovely garden and very tastefully finished having been recently renovated, and they were very welcoming and communicative before and during our stay. Overall it made for a very relaxing and enjoyable exchange which we'd highly recommend.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison d'Anne et Alain en Bretagne sud. Il est magnifiquement situé à proximité de vieilles villes médiévales, de plages de sable blanc, de voiliers et de très belles vieilles chaumières françaises partout. La maison est grande, rénovée de façon moderne et confortable. Il y a des vélos et de très belles pistes cyclables. Le jardin propose divers jeux. Le mignon petit chaton veut de la compagnie, mais sinon il s'occupe d'elle-même et entre et sort de la maison et de son bol de nourriture par elle-même. nous avons eu un bon contact avec Anne et Alain pendant le séjour lorsque nous avions besoin de nous entraider pour quelque chose. Nous ne pouvons que donner nos meilleures recommandations pour cet échange.

This is a lovely house in an area we couldn't find mentioned in the travel books , but it is a lovely stretch of coastline with little fishing villages, salt producers and oyster farms. It's great for cycling and La Baule is close by and a charming town.
