All basic facilities are in the village, less than five minutes walk: pharmacy, mini-supermarket, butcher, tobacco & newspaper store, pizzeria, car service, banks, post office, catholic church, etc. And traditional farm market on thursday mornings.
Medical center with doctor, dentist, physiotherapist, etc. at ten minutes walk or two minutes drive.

The neighbourhood counts with typical villages and, of course, many wine chateaux. Some are famous but many other are run by independent winegrowers and you can go for a tasting and buy at wholesale price (we have good addresses to share).

Saint-Émilion middle-aged Unesco protected town is at 8 kms, famous for its ancient battlements and buildings, wine shops and old streets.

The nearest city is Libourne (12 kms), a typical French southwest old bastide, with all kind of stores, river bank restaurants, modern hospital center and railway station with highspeed trains to/from Paris (2 hours 45) and local trains to/from Bordeaux (25 mns).

Unesco protected amazing city of Bordeaux is at 40 kms and the nearest ocean beach at 100 kms.

The Dordogne/Périgord region begins 10 kms east from Lussac, with beautiful landscapes, medieval villages and traditional towns to visit (Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Bergerac, Périgueux, Sarlat, etc.) including limestone caverns and prehistoric cave paintings such as Lascaux.
