An amazing exchange with a very nice family! We had the best of time in the Jacq family house. The house itself is a mixture of old and new, very charmingly renovated with old details preserved. All the rooms where very nice and the modern kitchen was easy to use. The most amazing part is the garden! Wow! We spent every evening in the comfortable outdoor sofas. The kids enjoyed it too, with plenty of room to play. The city of Bordeaux is very friendly and a great place to walk around and there are lots of sights to see. We spent many days at the atlantic coast, body boarding in the waves. All the beaches we visited had lifeguards on duty all the time and we were impressed by the level of service and security that they provided. It's wine country, and very close to loads of estates with good quality wine. The small village centre of Bouliac was very cozy and we had two great meals at the local and friendly pizzeria! Bouliac is on a plateau looking over the city of Bordeaux, and it was very easy to travel into the city centre. We would highly recommend an exchange with the Jacq's, they took care of our home as if it were their own! Not a trace that anyone had actually been in our house when we got home! Fabulous spacious home and garden, lovely neighbourhood and friendly neighbours. Well located for exploring the city and surrounding attractions. So much to see and do. Great family to exchange with, so helpful and accommodating.
