From our house it is a short walk to Commercial Drive, one of Vancouver's most unique shopping streets with many cafes and restaurants. Half a block away is a neighbourhood park with playground, tennis courts, basketball court and playing field. We are a close walk to Trout Lake, a green oasis in the city, as well as buses and train to downtown and other parts of the city. Just down the street there are city bikes for rent - perfect for exploring around town. You can take a tour of East Vancouver's craft breweries, or ride through the historic Strathcona and Chinatown neighbourhoods on your way to the seawall, Stanley Park, Granville Island, or one of our many beaches. It is a short drive (also possible by bus) to the North Shore Mountains for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing, and a 2 hour drive to Whistler.
