We are a couple in our 40s with two kids (Evie [12] and Ellis [6]). Stephanie is a university professor and Steve works in the health care system. We love discovering new places and the chance to "live", at least temporarily, in different places around the world!

Beskrivelse av hjemmet vi tilbyr å bytte bort
We live in a centrally-located, semi-detached 3-bedroom house. Extremely well equipped kitchen, big front porch, big backyard with a patio where you can eat and relax among our abundant garden (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, kiwis, currents, and hopefully apples soon! and lots of flowers!). The house is two-stories, with bedrooms upstairs, the kitchen & living room/dining room on the main floor, laundry in the basement, plus a big, bright extension which serves as a TV room and play area (lots of toys!). We have two full bathrooms and two powder rooms. Come relax while being just over two miles from a Unesco World Heritage Site!

Beskrivelse av vårt nabolag og området rundt
Our neighbourhood is quiet and family-oriented. Streets are lined with mature trees. There are a number of amazing bakeries and cafés (Café Folia, Péché Mignon, Boule Miche, Cavano), a local bookstore (Le Mot de Tasse), an excellent bring your own wine restaurant (La Girolle), a butcher/grocery store with delicious tangine and couscous (Marjane), and a local gastro-pub (Le Sacrement). There are also several pharmacies, a grocery store (basic), and a liquor store all within a 7 minute walk. Our house is a 2 minute walk from central city bus lines that will carry you directly to the heart of Old Quebec.

Våre tips til steder å gå og ting å gjøre mens du bor i vårt hjem
The Historic District of Old Quebec is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Canada. It is considered a world heritage treasure. Every corner of this historic district is teeming with history. Hence, it is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Canada, particularly in the province of Quebec.
The Plains of Abraham is the site of the battle between the French and British Empires, the park is the scene of the 1759 Conquest, which changed the fate of North America. Apart from its historical past, the park is to Québec what Central Park and Hyde Park are to New York and London: a city park of outstanding value, the lungs of the city. One hundred and three hectares of meadow and grassy knolls, decked with flowers or covered with snow, are there for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Not far west of the Plains of Abraham lie the colorful gardens of this park, a paean to the plant world and a welcome respite from downtown. Once the private property of a succession of Québec’s and Canada’s religious and political elite, this wonderful mix of woodland and extensive horticultural displays has been managed as a public park since 1996.
Hva vi liker, hva vi ikke liker ... Her er våre preferanser og husordensregler.
We keep our house neat and tidy and are sure that you will take great care of it too.
